    Devotions

In addition to the Sacraments and Liturgy, the Christian life of discipleship is also strengthened and nourished by devotions within our Church.  Here is a listing of on-going devotions within the life of St. Dominic Parish to which all people are welcome.

    First Friday Eucharistic Adoration
The tradition of spending time in prayer before the Blessed Sacraments goes back centuries within the life of the Church.  It is good to spend time in prayer with our Lord.  Every first Friday of the month, Eucharistic Adoration is offered within our church’s day chapel from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  All are welcome!  Fr. Emmanuel Massawe, A.J., coordinates this devotion, please feel free to contact him for more information.

    Divine Mercy Devotion
Divine Mercy Sunday is the Sunday immediately following Easter Sunday.  This devotion springs from visions given to St. Faustina regarding the mercy of God pouring through Christ our Lord and Savior.  On Divine Mercy Sunday as well as every third Sunday of the month there is a Divine Mercy prayer service held in the day chapel of our church from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.  All are welcome!  Chuck Morrell coordinates this ministry.  Please contact Chuck at  540-226-1797 or upchuck22@charter.net for more information.

    Rosary
In the devotion of the Rosary we walk with Mary in contemplating the saving events and mysteries of our Lord’s life, death and resurrection.  The Rosary is prayed publicly in our church at various times throughout the week.  Please consult the weekly calendar in our parish bulletin for days and times.
