Celebrate the Seder Meal at Home

    3/31/2020

Since we are unable to celebrate the Passover Seder Meal together as a Church, some of our parishioners thought it might be nice for us to share the program we use so you may honor the tradition at home.

As a Parish, we traditionally celebrate the Passover Seder Meal on the Wednesday of Holy Week.  If you feel called to celebrate the Seder Meal in your home, please feel free to use this resource.

We are also including a link sharing the purpose of the Seder Meal in the Catholic Church, and how to prepare many of the special ingredients of the meal.

Did you know that St. Dominic's offers a wonderful resource FREE for all of our Parishioners?

If you haven't checked out Formed.org yet, we strongly encourage you to do so.

With many great movies, along with animated series for kids, Formed will help you grow in faith, especially during this time when public Masses have been cancelled.

In order to sign up, please choose the "sign up" option, and then select "I belong to a parish or organization".  On the next screen, type in St. Dominic Kingsport TN, and select our church. Create a new account, and follow the on screen directions from there.

Watch "St. Teresa of the Andes: The Story of the First Chilean Saint" as a family to learn about our April 2020 Saint of the Month!

We know many of you have been watching Mass at home, and we hope that has been a powerful way for you to stay connected to our Parish during this time of self-isolation.

Did you know that we created a Mass aid that you can download, print, and use at home?

Did you know it includes the Act of Spiritual Communion for you to say at home?

    You can find it here:

We hope you find this to be a useful resource.

Please Pray for our RCIA Elect and Candidates

      My fellow parishioners,
During this time when we are all called to stay at home, and public Mass is not being offered, I ask that you please keep our wonderful RCIA Elect and Candidates in your prayers.
Normally, at this time of year, we ask you to choose a person in RCIA to pray for daily, and offer them your written intentions so they know they are loved and prayed for.
With the directive to stay at home, our RCIA class is facing many challenges.
I would like to offer a way for you to continue to support our RCIA candidates from home.
Please visit the RCIA Candidates page and complete an email prayer card, which will then be sent to the Church.  I will print them out and place them in each RCIA candidate's envelope in the vestibule of the Church.
Also, if you come to Church for Adoration, there is a table in the vestibule with prayer cards for each RCIA candidate/elect.  Please take a moment to fill it out.
Thank you for continuing to support those in RCIA throughout this Lenten season.
    Yours in Christ,
    Jessica Davison
    Liturgy Coordinator
