    Lenten activity for Children
The Jesus Tree is a systematic, daily devotional that encourages families to get to know Jesus Christ during the Lenten season. Just as the Jesse Tree invites families to get to know God the Father through a study of the Old Testament, the Jesus Tree invites families to get to know Jesus through a study of one of the Gospels.
This devotional focuses on the Gospel of John. A different story is assigned to each of the 40 days of Lent. Why does the Jesus Tree include the entire life of Jesus and not just His passion? Simply, Jesus came to Earth and took on human form to do more than just suffer and die for our sins. Jesus came to Earth to be our Teacher. Through every word He speaks and every action He takes, we are given a beautiful lesson to apply to our own lives.

Welcome to our CREATING CATHOLIC DISCIPLES (CCD) program!

Creating Catholic Disciples (CCD) is a program we offer for youth aged preschool through 6th grade.  Your children will learn to love Jesus and our faith from you.  We are here to assist you in this important endeavor.  Our classes meet on Sunday after the 10:00 a.m. Mass.  Our start time is 11:15 a.m.  and will run through 12:15p.m.   We have several locations on the church campus.

An important part of our program is sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion which usually occurs in second grade.  We can also help you with this if your child is older.

Confirmation preparation this year will occur for those in the 6th grade.  We have a special program called CHOSEN from Ascension Press that will be the centerpiece for their preparation along with other activities.

All of our catechists have gone through Safe Environment training and have had background checks.  We have a catechetical training program through Aquinas College.

You can download and print our registration form below if your children will attend CCD this year.     You can return the form via email, the collection basket or in the mail.  In August, we have a registration table in the church vestibule where forms can be turned in.

You may also choose to register your child(ren) online by completing a Google Form.  The button for online registration is below.

The fee for CCD this year (2020-2021) is $30 for 1 child, $35 for 2 children, and $40 for 3 or more children.

Inability to pay a fee is not a barrier to coming to our program - they can be waived or a payment schedule can be made.

Thank you for choosing our program.  If  you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Director of Religious Education, Rosa Mondragon, at the church office in the Administration Building.  Call her at 423-288-8101  God bless.
